Partially funded by a Nebraska Arts Council grant, I worked with the staff of Hope Center Inc. to provide both traditional art activities and digital design expertise to students in their summer program. One of the goals for the summer was to generate student artwork that could be offered for sale at the annual fund-raiser in the fall. Teaching watercolor techniques, I painted with the students many small strips of watercolor paper and also coffee filters. Once dried these were scanned into the computer and digitally composed into many varied and beautifully textured compositions that were sold as prints, bookmarks, stationary, and tote bags.
We had such a fun & colorful summer!
